Patrol Mountain Hike

Saturday, September 21 | 6 am – 6 pm

Located outside of Augusta, Patrol Mountain is one hike that you are unlikely to do alone. It is a steep difficult hike perfect for anyone looking for a workout before hunting season. The first couple of miles start out gradual working slowly uphill towards the summit. The last 2 miles gain roughly 2,500 feet in elevation.

The fire lookout on top makes for a great lunch spot while admiring your effort and views of the Rocky Mountain Front and Bob Marshall Wilderness areas before the steep decent back to the trail head…

Hike Crystal Lake Ice Caves

After hiking the first 3 difficult miles through dense forest and rocky hillsides the trail will open to a picture-perfect plateau with sweeping views in all directions to include sights of the Absarokee and Grand Teton ranges.
