The Malmstrom Inns features spacious accommodations for all ranks at affordable prices. Our facility encompasses 83 rooms, including 6 DV Suites, 25 VQ Suites, 22 VQRs and 30 TLF units. Malmstrom Inns offers 15 pet friendly TLF units that are offered based on availability and eligibility. It is our goal to make your stay with us an enjoyable and comfortable experience. All of our facilities are smoke free.
Space available reservations are offered based on seasonal occupancy. Please call for availability.

Check-Out Time is 11 am.
If you need a late check-out, please call the Front Desk the morning of check-out.
Room Rates
As of October 1, 2025 room rates are as follows:
Visiting Office Quarters/ Visiting Quarters (VQ): $99
Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLF) (all sizes): $107
Pet Friendly Temporary Lodging Facilities: $107 + $10/day pet fee
Distinguished VQs: $107

The Front Desk is open from 6 am – 10 pm, if you have an emergency or get locked out of your room, please dial (406) 731-3394 option 5.
Due to the Front Desk hours, for “after hours” check ins, we have lock boxes outside of the front door. These boxes will contain your room keys, a registration, pen, and a map to be able to locate your room.
OUR SERVICES
Coffee Bar
We have a complimentary coffee bar located just past the front desk on the left. We carry regular coffee, decaf coffee, hot chocolate, reg tea, and decaf tea.
Business Center
We offer a 24/7 business center located just past the front desk on the left. We have two CAC-enabled computers along with an all-in-one color printer, fax, scanner, and copier.
Fitness Room
Located just past the front desk on the right, we have a small fitness center that includes an elliptical machine, treadmill, and bike.
Free Wifi
The wifi for our guests is free. We have various routers throughout the property, please feel free to connect to the strongest signal.
Daily Housekeeping
Due to manning, our housekeeping daily service varies, please call the front desk for the most up to date schedule.
Sundry Items
Forgot something? We have food items and toiletries available to purchase from the front desk during operating hours.
Ice
For our guests in VQs, we have ice machines located in Bldg 1620 on the second floor and Bldg 1680 on the first floor. For our TLF guests, there is an ice maker in your freezer.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any personal mail/packages. We advise guests to purchase a PO box in town or ask your POC/ personal squadron if there is an address you can use.
Washer / Dryer
For our guests in VQs, we have washer/dryers located in Bldg 1620 on the second floor and Bldg 1680 on the first floor. For our TLF guests, there are stackable washer/dryers in the closet between the kitchen and bathroom.
OCCUPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
General

Guests who are not responsible for room charges are still liable for all incidental changes that occurred during the stay.

All Air Force rooms and Common Areas are non-smoking. Guests in violation of this policy will be charged a cleaning fee.
Business Center

Guests are limited to the business center, if there are other guests waiting, to 30 minutes.

Guests should not permanently save work to computers.

Guests are prohibited from visiting unauthorized sites.
Pets

Cats and Dogs only (2 pets maximum). Lodging Managers may waive a number of pets on a case-by-case basis.

Secure your pet in the pet kennel provided or in your own pet container whenever you leave your room. Housekeeping services will not be provided if your pet is not in the pet kennel.

AF Inns is not liable for the welfare of your pet; you are solely responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of your animals.

Owners may not use lodging towels or linens to bathe pets.

Pets are not allowed to lay directly on furniture or bedding.
Fire Safety

Do not smoke in the rooms.

Flammable liquids (gasoline, charcoal lighter, cleaning fluid, etc.) are not allowed in the rooms.

Additional cooking/heating devices (space heaters, hot plates, propane tanks, etc.) are not allowed in the rooms and will be removed if found without notification to the guest.

Never leave heated cooking appliances unattended.

Do not place hot appliances (irons, blow dryers, coffeepots, etc.) in drawers or cabinets.

Do not overload electrical outlets. Multi-plugs and power strips are therefore prohibited.

Do not leave electrical appliances on when unattended.

Practice good housekeeping (clean-up messes, bag any dirty clothes, keep wet clothes away from heat sources, etc.).

Do not burn candles or incense in your room. If found, these items will be removed without notification to the guest and may incur a cleaning fee of up to $150.00 or furniture replacement.

Vacate all rooms during fire alarms. Evacuation routes are posted on the back of each room door.

What if I'm coming to Malmstrom on official business "TDY" - do I need to make a reservation?
Yes-As soon as you know the dates of your TDY you can call our reservation line DSN 632.3394 or commercial line 406.731.3394 to make your reservation.
What is your Space Availability Policy?
Space available reservations are taken up to 3-days in advance of your requested arrival based upon occupancy. Because availability is seasonal, some periods of the year; reservations are accepted up to 120 days in advance. Please call the front desk at DSN 632.3394 or commercial 406.731.3394

What if I'm going to check in late?
Guests, who will be arriving after 6:00 PM, must guarantee their reservations with a valid credit card. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure a valid credit card is given to hold the room after 6:00 PM. At 6:00 PM, the front desk will cancel all reservations not held with credit cards
How do I pay for my lodging?
All lodging guest must provide a valid credit card at the time of check-in. Payment is made at check-in in the form of card, cash or check. All space A travelers must pay at check-in regardless of the type of payment being used.
I'm PCSing, do you have pet-friendly units?
Yes, we do have pet units, but they do fill up quickly. You want to make your reservation as soon as possible when traveling with pets. Shot records are required at check-in.
