Let’s Swim!
Outdoor Recreation is offering swim lessons this summer. Learn fundamental swimming skills, water safety, and more. The skills learned will last a lifetime. Classes are taught by qualified, certified instructors.
Swim Lessons:
- Water Babies: You will be in the pool with your child developing a comfort in water through games and song/dance.
- Beginner: Develop a comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water. This class is for people who are not yet comfortable going underwater voluntarily.
- Intermediate/Advanced: Focus on body position and control, Directional change, forward movement in the water and continue to practice how to safely exit in the event of falling into a body. This class is for people who are not yet able to do a front and back float on their own.
- Splash into Summer: This refresher class is designed for already intermediate swimmers to start summer safety.
