The Checkmate Challenge

Gather your knights and pawns, rooks, and bishops, because the Grizzly Bend is putting on our very first chess tournament! We will have areas for both competitive and casual play. There will also be a table where you can learn how to play if you haven’t had any experience before. Competitive play will be broken into age groups of 10 and under, 11-14, 15-17, and 18 and up. First place winner in each age group will take home a $10, $10, $15, and $25 gift card respectively.

Not into chess? We’ll have a variety of other board games, too! Just bring some friends and join in the fun!

Cost: $5 per person for club members / $7 per person for non-members
Ages: 10+, all minors must be accompanied by an adult, at least 21 to consume alcohol
