Saturday, September 23, 7 am to 9 pm
The crowds are gone, the leaves are starting to change, and the wildlife is stirring. Crisp air and snow-capped mountains make this early fall hike a beauty. We’ll likely head up to do the 11 mile (out and back) to Cobalt Lake, a high alpine lake surrounded by imposing mountain peaks. Keep an eye out for moose and mountain goats in this area. Bring gear for variable weather lunch, water and your preferred hiking footwear.

Enjoy a day of snagging Kokanee Salmon at the Helena Valley Reservoir. With a 35 person limit, bring your cooler and fishing License and prepare to stock the freezer! We will provide transportation, fishing gear, canoes and instruction. Pack your own lunch and drinks.

Join us for a day of mountain biking near Helena. The trails stretch over the hillsides of Mt. Helena and make up the South Hills Trail System. Ride at your own pace or race down the hills - you decide how fast to go! Bring bike, helmet water, lunch, comfortable shoes and dress for variable weather.

Take a few hours for a leisurely paddle down the Missouri river through the canyon near Craig, MT. Spend the day enjoying the wildlife and scenery, or even drop a line and try your chances at catching a trout. Canoe or kayak, paddles, equipment and shuttle are included.

Lick Creek Caving

Lick Creek Caving

Saturday, November 4, 9 am to 4 pm
Go below the surface in Lick Creek Cave. Test your route finding in the labyrinth, wiggle through the pinch, hug the catwalk wall on the lip of a 90’ pit and climb 200’ to the top of the rubble pile in the Cathedral Room – the biggest known room of any Montana Cave! Fees include transportation, helmets, harnesses and headlamps.
