Crystal Lake and Ice Caves Hike

Saturday, July 22, 7 am to 5 pm
Visit the ice caves in the Big Snowy Mountain Range. This hike will climb through the trees until we reach the ridge top and make our way to the Ice cave that holds ice throughout the year, eventually returning to our starting point on Crystal Lake. The round trip will cover roughly 12 miles of moderate to strenuous hiking. Bring at least two liters of water, snacks and appropriate attire.

Tandem Skydiving

Saturday, July 29, 5 am to 7 pm *sign up begins July 1 at 8 am
Head up to Whitefish, MT for an opportunity to sky dive! Fly up to 12,000 feet overlooking the peaks of Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake to the South. Prepare for your 30-50 second free fall and 5-10 minute canopy ride. Take control of your decent as you glide safely back to the ground. It’s a long drive up and back, but the experience is worth it.
Cost: $325 SAI $70
*trip is limited to 8 people; must be at least 18 and under 230 lbs. - no exceptions!

Sunday, July 30, Noon to 5 pm
Meet us at the base for a leisurely Sunday afternoon trip down the Missouri River close to town. This 12 mile section meanders quietly as the river flows toward Great falls. We will put in at Cottonwood Grove and kayak or float down to White Bear where we will load up the boats and head home. Bring food, snacks and water. Everything else will be provided (kayak, PFD, paddle, transportation).

Discover the Rocky Mountain Front on this hike to Headquarters Pass with sweeping views of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and Rocky Mountain peak. Wear sturdy shoes for this 7 mile round trip hike. Bring lunch, snacks and drinks.

Start hiking at the Riceville Bridge and traverse the Sluice Boxes ending up at the Logging Creek Bridge. Seven miles, 16 water crossings and 2 old trestles will highlight this hike through the limestone canyon. Bring water, lunch, snacks and water shoes for the creek crossings.

Backpack 3 days in the “Bob” into some spectacular subalpine country, we will leave civilization behind as we carry all we need on our backs. There will be plenty of vertical as we climb out of creek bottoms and up to ridge tops, as you hike 6 to 10 miles each day. It is mandatory to attend the pre-trip meeting to plan for food and receive gear needed for the trip.
