…and Fun From Outdoor Recreation!

When you “think snow,” what do you think of? Do you think of the deep powder, the groomed hills or the endless cross country trails? Do you think of the great opportunities to purchase discounted tickets at Outdoor Recreation? Or maybe you think of the great ski resorts close to Great Falls that will provide a fun outing for you, your family, and your friends?

All this and more awaits the winter sports fan.

Only 65 miles from Great Falls, Showdown Ski Area offers outstanding skiing opportunities. Showdown’s base elevation is higher than many summits and it’s right in the middle of the winter storm path, so Showdown gets lots of great snow and keeps it longer.

Great Divide Ski Area may be a bit further from Great Falls – it’s about a 2-hour drive – but it is one of the largest ski resorts in Montana with 1600 acres of great skiing. It is also one of the most affordable ski areas in Montana.

…All this and more awaits the winter sports fan.

Outdoor Recreation can make your skiing experience even more fun by offering discounted ski tickets. They must be purchased at Outdoor Recreation. The discounts are as follows:

Showdown Ski Area – get your tickets at ODR
        Adult – $29 (Savings of $4)
        Junior (ages 6 to 12) – $18 (Savings of $1)

Great Divide – get your tickets at ODR

One of best deals of the year is at the state’s premier ski resort – Big Sky Resort. Free lift tickets are provided for all military during the Military Appreciation Weekend from Dec. 12 – 14. A bus ride to the resort will be provided for all who wish to participate. Outdoor Recreation makes it easy; the trip includes lodging, transportation, and ski or snowboard equipment. Your lift tickets are free! Dependent lift tickets are half price. In order to secure a spot on this fun trip, be sure to book early. For complete details, please call Outdoor Recreation at 731-4202.

Outdoor Recreation can also help with your ski and snowboard rentals, including ski and snowboard sets, cross country ski sets, goggles and clothing, such as bibs, jackets and gloves. Season rentals are available for adult and kid’s ski sets, and for snowboard sets. Ask Outdoor Recreation about this great savings.

Just in case you’re not in the mood to ski but still want to enjoy the great outdoors, Outdoor Recreation has ice fishing equipment available to rent.
