Wilderness Preparedness Clinic

An expert team of professionals will provide an all-encompassing guide to enjoying and exploring the great outdoors. Learn to prepare for proper nutrition while outdoors and optimize your performance in the backcountry. You will also be given physical preparation tips so you can get the most out of your hiking/backcountry experience. Enjoy an interactive lesson on how to keep yourself and others alive. This component is designed to prepare individuals who are at a high risk for isolation, in remote mountains and austere environments, the basic lifesaving skills they need. A wilderness medicine component will be provided, so that if needed, you can render the necessary medical attention to a host of injuries you may encounter in the backcountry.

Location: Meet at Outdoor Recreation – Class at Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center

Times: Class is from 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Includes: Instruction, transportation

Ages: 16+ (ages up to 17 must be accompanied by an adult)
