GIVE PARENTS A BREAK and SUPER SATURDAY

Due to the hiring freeze and staffing limitations we are canceling the April and May GPAB sessions.

TThe Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) recognizes that today’s Air Force families face unique stress due to the nature of military life from deployments, remote tours, to extended working hours. Families are often separated from spouses as well as their extended family members who might otherwise offer support.

The purpose of Give Parents a Break (GPAB) and Super Saturday (SS) is to offer families a few hours away from the stress of parenting and use the time to suit their personal needs. Program will be held at the Child Development Center (731-2417).
Note: GPAB program is not to be used to simply provide “free child care” but rather as a program to help commanders, first sergeants, and other base officials help families who need temporary relief from the challenges of parenting.

GPAB and Super Saturday is usually offered one Friday or Saturday of each month from 10 am to 2 pm. Children age 6 weeks to 8 years will attend the Child Development Center.

Eligibility

Active duty Air Force families eligible to use the GPAB program include:
