June 14 – August 21
ARDEN G. HILL MEMORIAL LIBRARY launches its Reading Colors Your World summer reading program June 14. During the next two months, the library will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading. Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.
There are programs for Kids: 0-12, Teens: 13-18, and Over 18 & Parents.
Also, Squadrons Read, Too! for Airmen (all ranks) & spouses, Civilian Employees, and Adults read for your Squadrons.
There’s also a serious side to summer reading. Research has shown that reading over the summer prevents summer reading loss. Studies also indicate students who read recreationally outperformed those who don’t. Students read more when they can choose materials based on their own interests.
