Benton Lake Wildlife Refuge Photo Trip

Saturday, April 17 | 5:30 am – 1:30 pm

Benton Lake Wildlife Refuge is located at the western edge of the famed Prairie Pothole Region and a short distance from the base. The area is characterized by wetland or “potholes” which serve as a breeding ground for the nation’s waterfowl. A special treat will be watching the sharp-tailed grouse – a seriously charismatic bird doing their tell-tale dancing competitions. Kirk Clark, renowned wildlife photographer, will be there to help you get great pictures.
