Parent/Child Area & Family Fun Zone
PARENT/CHILD AREA (PCA)
• The Parent/Child Area (PCA) is a venue in which parents/guardians of children, ages 6 months to 6 years, can exercise while maintaining direct visual control over their child. The PCA is located in the new Fitness Center group exercise room.
• Children MUST be supervised by their own parent/guardian. At no time may a child be left unattended.
• The PCA has an area with 4 cardio machines for parents use while the other part is designated for children. The children’s area will have small tables and chairs in addition to a DVD player & screen. Parents are responsible to bringing their own toys and/or movies for their children.
• Prior to using the area, parents must meet with Fitness staff for a policy briefing and to sign a usage agreement. Once the agreement is signed, parents may use the area at any time the Fitness Center is open.
• There is a 45 minute time limit if other parents are waiting to use the PCA.
FAMILY FUN ZONE
• The Family Fun Zone is an indoor entertainment play center located in the upper gym of the old Fitness Center. Parents can bring children to use equipment and games such as: inflatable jumper, inflatable obstacle course, dinosaur play area, giant chess and checkers, badminton, and more.
• The Family Fun Zone is an “adult-supervised” area – all children must be accompanied and supervised by either their own parent/guardian or responsible adult over 18 years of age. An adult may not supervise more than 6 children at any one time.
• Children MUST be supervised at all times – at no time may a child be left in the Family Fun Zone unattended.
• Prior to using the area, parents must meet with Fitness staff for a policy briefing and to sign a usage agreement. Once the agreement is signed, parents may use the area at any time the Fitness Center is open. Parents/adults who choose not to follow the policies may risk losing the privilege of using the area.

Age Restrictions (AFI 34-266)
16 years of age and over Unrestricted use of all FC facilities and equipment. Need not be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
13 - 15 years of age
All cardiovascular and weight equipment, group exercise rooms:
Require interactive supervision* from an adult (parent, legal guardian, qualified fitness or youth program staff member, or coach) at all times.
**Other activity areas (basketball court, racquetball courts, running track): Parent or legal guardian must be in facility.
6 – 12 years of age
All cardiovascular and weight equipment, group exercise rooms: Access to these areas prohibited.
*** Other activity areas (basketball court, racquetball courts, running track): Requires interactive supervision from an adult at all times.
Under 6 years of age
Not allowed in facility with the exception of those facilities providing a parent/child area (PCA) for supervised play and/or those children who are supervised spectators in a sports or special event.
